Looking-up service

To help annual pass holders we have laid on an additional digital looking-up service to provide answers to straightforward questions and thus support art-historical research being done remotely. You should send a detailed request by email to putting digital looking-up service in the subject field. This is not so much about art historical research as providing answers to clearly defined questions which can be looked up in a short space of time. The clearest possible description is essential, so think especially of:

  • Publication: give the title and page numbers required
  • Archive: inventory number
  • Auction catalogue: name of auction house, date and lot number
  • RKD Viewer: artist, title and dimensions

Our acceptance of a request does not transfer any rights. The RKD reserves the right to refuse a request, without entering into discussion. We aim to provide a response to requests within 5 working days.
