HNA conference 2021 postponed

With the global Covid-19 pandemic in mind, the HNA (Historians of Netherlandish Art) board, in consultation with the organizing and program committee, has decided to postpone the conference scheduled for next year (June 3-5) to 2-4 June 2022. The HNA conference which is organized by the University of Amsterdam and the RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History, will take place in Amsterdam and The Hague.

The program of the conference, as it was planned for June 2021, will be transferred in its entirety to June 2022. This program will be published on the HNA website shortly. In spring 2021, the program committee will contact the keynote speakers and the chairs of all sessions and workshops in order to see whether all elements of the original program can remain intact. If not, an additional round will be opened for the submission of a limited number of sessions and/or papers next spring. The possibility of organizing a small digital event in early June 2021 is also on the table. This will be announced in due course on the HNA and RKD websites.

The RKD and HNA would like to thank everyone who has already contributed to the organization and the wonderful program of the HNA conference. We hope to see each other, under safe and healthy conditions, in June 2022 in Amsterdam and The Hague.
