Curriculum vitae and duties

Ton Geerts studied art history and archeology at the Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht. He worked for various cultural institutes including the Bilderdijk Museum (Amsterdam) and the Dutch Royal Academy of Sciences (Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen (KNAW)).

Between 1998 and 2009 he was curator of modern art for the Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede.

He has worked since 2009 as curator modern and contemporary art for the RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History, specialised in the fine arts 1960-1980.
