Mr. drs. Anne Marie van der Torren

Curriculum vitae and duties

Anne Marie van der Torren studied Dutch Law at Utrecht University, with a speciality in authors' rights (public lending right). She afterwards took a Bachelor and an Master in Art History at the University of Leiden, writing her dissertation on the Golden Age.

She brought law and art history together completing a course in Art & Law at the University of Amsterdam. Van der Torren worked as a lawyer and prosecutor for the judiciary (Appeal Court for Company Law). She has been Executive Secretary for the RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History since 2017 and is responsible for legal matters such as contracts, authors' rights and privacy.

Van der Torren is also the RKD's Compliance Officer.
