    In 1578 he moved into the house ' 't Lelicke Aensicht' (The Ugly Face) in the Kalverstraat, that he had inherited from his mother-in-law. His sister Barbara (died 1605) moved in with him, while the painter Frans Badens became his neighbour here in 1598. Bought his poorterschap (citizenship)in 1583. Several times mentioned in the minutes of his church for violent behaviour: onn March 15, 1590 e.g. he had a fight with the (Lutheran) Gillis Coignet II. On 15 February 1601 he was a witness to the marriage contract of Tobias Franck and Jannetgen Crispyn, daughter of painter Crispiaen Colyns, in the house of painter Pieter Pietersz. // on 9/10 July 1602 he made hist last will, with painter Tobias Franck as a witness and died shortly afterwards(Briels 1997)
