    settled in London c. 1672 (Waterhouse 1988). Walpole et al. 1762/1876 (ed. Wornum) records a portrait of the Duchess of Richmond as Venus, signed and dated 1672. As he was not very succesful, he fell on hard days, till Mr. Boyle gave him a yearly allowance of 50 Lb. When Boyle die, Duval became more and more deranged and died c. 1709
