    He returned in 1650 from Rome (Kren 1983, p. 123), where he was admitted to the Sodality of the Unmarried Men of Age (Sodaliteit der bejaerde jongmans) 31 October 1650, Consultor of the same sodality, chosen by the Jesuits, 26 October 1653, and in 1655 Prefect of the Confraternity of the Sweet Name of Jesus, chosen by the Dominicans (Rombouts/Van Lerius 1872/1961, p. 3, note 2). On July 14, 1656, Christiaen de Leeuw, painter 29 years old, living in Sint-Michielstraat and Anthony Goubou, painter, 35 years old, living in Bredestraat, testified before civil-law notary A. van der Donck (N 3790 f 2) (van Hemeldonck 2007). On December 1, 1696, Antonie Goubou, painter, unmarried, made his will. On December 15 he made some changes: he can no longer write due to his illness. He lives behind the monastery of the Discals (van Hemeldonck 2007).
