Van Halen also owned the manuscript of the journal of the journey made by Jaq. Thierry Junior and Willem Schellinks made between 14 July 1665, now in the Royal Library in Copenhagen. Houbraken used this manuscript for his information on Schelinks in the Groote Schouburgh (Houbraken 1719, p. 262; see also Schellinks/Exwood/Lehmann 1993).
