Family relationships
this field records any family relationship to one or more other artist(s).
Married 1) in London in the St. Martin-in the-Fields church on 6 June 1630 to Elisabeth Wilson (died 1637); 2) in The Hague on 27 June 1640 to Maria van Ravesteyn, daughter of painter Jan van Ravesteyn and 3) in The Hague on 10 November 1669 to Alida Besemer. According to Vertue, Adriaen Hanneman and Elisabth Wilson had a son named William who would have been buried in 1641 in the St. Marten-in-the-fields church (Vertue Notebook 1). This was rightly refuted by Toynbee in 1950. In several reference works (Von Wurzback, Thieme/Becker, Ecartico) this Willem/William is even included as an artist. In 1654 a child of Hanneman (probably from his marriage to Maria van Ravesteyn) was buried in the Grote Kerk in the Hague; no baptisms of children by Hanneman are recorded.

Despite his earlier economical success he came into financial difficulties in 1669 and had to sell his house.
