Published at the age of 97, 'Traité des principes et des règles de la peinture', in which he criticized his own way of painting and other artists (Tromans / Kabbani 2008); Painted paus Clemens XII and several cardinals, author Richard Pococke, his English patron William Ponsobu second bishop of Bessborough, Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI (Tromans / Kabbani 2008); Has also painted the portrait of nine-year-old Prince Willem V and the portrait of the Duke of Wolfenbuttel.
