Son of Erasmus Quellinus I and Elisabeth van Uden. He married in 1634 with Catharina de Hemelaer, a niece of Jan de Hemelaer, deacon of the Cathedral of Our Lady. By this marriage he was brother in law with Theodoor Rombouts and Jan Philip van Thielen. He married for the 2nd time on 9 November 1663 in Brussels with Françoise de Fren (sister of Isabella de Fren, the wife of David Teniers II ( lit. 1857, p. 241 and Duverger vol.. 8, p. 346, note 1)
