Son of Erasmus Quellinus I and Elisabeth van Uden. He was married in 1634 to Catharina de Hemelaer, a niece of Jan de Hemelaer, deacon of the Cathedral of Our Lady. By this marriage he was brother in law of Theodoor Rombouts and Jan Philip van Thielen. He was married for the 2nd time on 9 November 1663 in Brussels to Françoise de Fren (sister of Isabella de Fren, the wife of David Teniers II (Antwerp 1857, p. 241 and Duverger vol. 8, p. 346, note 1)
