in the service of elector Johann Wilhelm von der Pfalz in Düsseldorf. Painted a portrait of Christian V of Denmark in 1699, which did not survive (Jansen 2015, p. 27). Probably never stayed in Copenhagen, since there is no mention of salary payment in the Danish archives. Already during the artist's lifetime works were purchased for the royal collections at Rosenborg and the Kunstkammer in Copenhagen (Weilbach 1994-2000).
