Is portraited by Peter Paul Rubens and Simon Vouet. Doria acted as patron for Giovanni Battista Paggi, Giulio Cesare Procaccini and Bernardo Strozzi. His collection counted 463 paintings, which were bequeathed to his brothers Marcantonio and Gian Luca. Among the Flemish and Dutch artists whose work was in the Doria collection are Jan Brueghel I en Jan Brueghel II, Jan Wildens, Antony van Dyck en Lucas van Leyden.
