    Together with A. De Decker settles in Antwerp in 1966, where until 1977 they run the avant-garde Gal. Wide White Space. In addition to exhibits of current, often conceptual art (among others by Marcel Broodthaers, Daniel Buren, Yves Klein, Dieter Roth or Lawrence Weiner), actions and performances take place several times (including the second version of "Eurasienstab" by Joseph Beuys and Henning Christiansen, Feb. 9, 1968). In the 1970s Lohaus and A.De Decker also found a local Free International University after the model of Joseph Beuys.
