He married 21 February 1655 to the rich widow Jenneke Hendricksdr. van der Horst from Haaksbergen: the marriage remained childless, although Saur 2010 mentions: maybe father of the painter Jan Frans (1658-1684), who went as a sailor to the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) and became rich there.
