Bart van der Leck heeft een bijdrage geleverd aan de Rijksluchtvaartschool aan de Burg. J.G. Legroweg 43 in Eelde in de jaren vijftig. De projectarchitect was Feico Pieter Glastra van Loon (1923-2013), verbonden aan het bureau van zijn oom Pierre Jean Joseph Michel Cuypers (1891-1982), Vondelstraat 19 in Amsterdam. Feico Pieter Glastra van Loon is in de leer geweest bij de Amerikaanse architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969), verboden aan het Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Hij is ook de architect van de dokterswoning met praktijkruimte aan de Hoekenes 26 in Osdorp/Amsterdam, van het woonhuis van Prof. mr. R.A.V. baron van Haersholthe (1919-2002) en beeldhouwster A.J.L. van Dijk (1911-1991) aan de Slingerweg in Wassenaar, en van Café-restaurant "de Wapenroem", later "Kobus aan de Poort", Utrechtsestraat 49, Amersfoort.
Het bureau werd gevormd door P.J.J.M. (Pierre) Cuypers jr, J.D. (Jan) Capel, F.P. (Feico) Glastra van Loon en H.G. (Henk) Heubers.
