    In 1891 he went to Paris as a scholar of the KSch, visiting Salzburg, Innsbruck and Basel on the way. In France it remains until 1896, interrupted by annual stays in Krakow. Initially, he shares a studio with Stanisław Wyspiański. In Paris, he meets Władysław Ślewiński and benefits from his artistic teachings. At his suggestion, he explores the art of the Nabis, in addition to impressing the works of Puvis de Chavannes and the painting of James Abbott McNeill Whistler.
