    She was the descendant of George Gerard Lans and his wife Margaretha. They built a monumental house in Haarlem called 'Eindenhout'. The house is also known as 'het huis met de beelden' or the house with the statues. It is located at the Wagenweg 242 in Haarlem. The first stone of the house was laid in 1793. In 1994 Susanna Louisa Bergenfurt-Elbers sold the portraits of her forefathers, Margaretha and Christiaan Lans to the current owners of house Eindenhout. The house is currently owned by Stadsherstel Amsterdam (Persdocumentatie, Haarlems Dagblad, 1994).
