Kunsthandel Frans Leidelmeijer

group / Dutch
art dealer (shop)
The art dealership was founded by Frans Leidelmeijer and his late partner Daan van der Cingel. At first they sold mainly Art Nouveau and Art Deco, but they gradually specialized in Dutch movements like Nieuwe Kunst, Amsterdamse School, De Stijl, Haagse School and Functionalism. They wrote books on their specialites and organized many exhibitions, such as an exhibition of interiors from Nieuwe Kunst to Amsterdam School at the Stedelijk Museum. In 1990 Leidelmeijer became the first certified expert and appraiser of applied arts dating from 1850 to the present. They also participated in many art fairs, like Amsterdam Art, TEFAF Maastricht and pAn Amsterdam (, June 2016).

You may also come across references to other artists if there was/is question of collaboration without a joint name. This is the case, for instance, with artists who rendered parts of works by other artists (such as with P.P Rubens and J. Brueghel I).
