was one of the first, together with his brother Pierre to receive a stipend of the Academie de France in Rome. He made copies after antique sculptures to decorate the gardens in Versailles (Saur 2016). He travelled back from Rome to Paris together with Abraham Genoels II, Petrus Laviron and possibly Jean Cavalier, following the route below (Houbraken 1721, R. van Leeuwen, June 2021).
