Waarschijnlijk vals gesigneerd, of verkeerd gelezen: N.Maes 1672Veeleer toe te schrijven aan D. van der Plaes.Stond te boek als: pendant van 'van Dorp, Burgemeester vanDordt'. Frederik van Dorp overlijdt in 1679. Datering evenalssignatuur waarschijnlijk vals en identificatie op grond vandatering, ca.1695 (fontangekapsel!), onhoudbaar.Volgens H.d.G. geveild in Amsterdam 22 januari 1884. Volgensaantekening op collectie fiche is de collectie in 1945 verbrand.L. Krempel, Nicolaes Maes, Petersberg 2000, cat.nr. c13a, afb.384, toegeschreven aan D. van der Plaes.Donkere fluwelen gedecolleteerde japon, witte onderjapon met kantaan decollete en mouwen, satijnen draperie over linker arm, met juwelen sluiting, met beide handen vastgehouden; blond fontangekapsel; linksachter juwelenkist waaruit parelkettingen.
