De oorspronkelijke reeks bestond uit twaalf afzonderlijke scènes, die waarschijnlijk gegroepeerd waren in vier groepen van drie (zie de reconstructie in Van Tuinen 2012). Nadat de reeks is geveild in Londen in 1946 zijn de panelen verspreid geraakt over verschillende collecties (Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum; Oberlin, Allen Memorial Art Museum; Yale University Art Gallery; Londen, particuliere collectie).
