This ceiling painting was located in the back room of the first floor of Repelius' house (Vondelstraat 29 in Amsterdam). According to a floor plan from 1889 (ill. on p. 120), this was the dining room (Gorter and Bax 2006). Mondrian also created another ceiling painting for Repelius (see 289692).
