1521-1530 (1521 - 1530)
C. 1860 the angels still had their polychromy. The shields they carry showed the coats of arms of Cleves-Mark and Julich-Berg. Gorissen 1965 attibuted the coats of arms to Johann III of Cleves-Mark and his wife Mary of Julich-Berg who married in 1510. Johann was duke of Julich-Berg from 1511 and added the title of duke of Cleves-Mark in 1521. Therefore it is presumed that the duke donated the Saint Christopher after 1521.
