On 13 April 1633 Johannes Wttenbogaert wrote in his journal (now in the University Library at Leiden): "Wtgeschildert van Rembrant, voor Abraham Anthonissen" (Tideman 1903, p. 127; Dudok van Heel 1978 A, p. 81-88).
