Occupation: Deken van het kathedrale kapittel te Besancon (1493), raad van Philips de Schone, in 1504 kerkelijk raadsheer in de Grote Raad van Mechelen, in 1508 lid van de Geheime Raad. Met keizer Karel V in Spanje tussen 1517 en 1519. Tijdens landvoogdij van Margaretha van Parma president van de Geheime Raad (1531-1540). Vanaf 1520 aartsbisschop van Palermo en proost van de Sint-Donatius te Brugge. Hij was een beschermer van Erasmus.
