    Schalcken adopted the subject of a smiling young woman in a stone window, apparently offering the beholder a sweet, her general pose in reverse and the interior of the background featuring another window. He also repeated the genera; color scheme with an emphasis on black and white in the costume and subtle details such as the black "tipmuts". (as observed by E. Schavemaker)
