Zie IB 35130, 45103, 53694 en 948078 voor andere kniestuk-portretten van leden van de familie van Aerssen met opschriften op verwante banderols. Hoewel niet identiek van afmetingen vormden zij, met nog andere, thans onbekende portretten een reeks familieportretten. Vier ervan zijn in bezit van het Rijksmuseum. Al deze portretten waren waarschijnlijk ooit in bezit van de familie van Dam van Brakel en werden in 1895 aangeboden op een Amsterdamse veiling.
