ethnographic photographer
De enige die er meer concreet over schrijft is Joanna Cohan Scherer: “Ethnographic photography was a distinctive genre [in de 19e eeuw]: native ‘type’ photographs (shape and physique), views, portraits of customs and costumes [bron: Johanna Cohan Scherer, in Visual Anthropology, 1990, vol.3, p. 135] “Ethnographic photography may be defined as the use of photographs for the recording and understanding of culture(s), of both the subject and the photographer.
