Terms and conditions Friends of the RKD

1.
These terms and conditions apply to a membership of the Cornelis Hofstede de Groot Foundation/Friends of the RKD, hereinafter referred to as 'Friends'.

2.
The RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History (Department of Service & Public, hereafter: 'S&P') carries out the administration for the Friends through the contact address (10).

3.
With regard to membership, the following provisions apply:
 

• Membership commences upon submission of the written application to the contact address.
• Membership is valid during the current calendar year (from January 1 to December 31) and is automatically renewed annually. Registrations after October 1 are valid up to and including the following calendar year.
• Cancellation can be done in writing, addressed to the contact address, and in any case one month before the end of the calendar year. 
• Membership continues until the end of the calendar year. There will be no full or partial refund of friends contribution already paid.

4.
Regarding payment for membership, the following applies:
 

• If no payment has been made within three months of registration, the registration will expire.
• If no payment has been made within three months after the start of a new calendar year (i.e. by January 1) the membership will expire.

5.
The personal data and payment information you provide will only be used for the order and payment of the Friends membership. The information will not be used for other commercial or non-commercial purposes, or shared with third parties, without your prior consent. See also the privacy policy on the RKD website.

6.
The Friend will communicate changes in address and other data in writing to the contact address.

7.
The Friend will be kept informed by S&P about interesting offers of products and services of the RKD.

8.
The RKD periodically organizes activities for Friends. The Friend can apply for such an activity in writing through the contact address. It may be that capacity is limited. In that case: those who register first take precedence.

9.
The Friends are entitled to amend these terms and conditions and the contents of the various memberships. The amended conditions will apply from the publication on the RKD website. These and future terms and conditions also apply to agreements already entered into.
