Curriculum vitae and duties
Kriszti Vákár studied between 1986 and 1992 at the Vrije University Amsterdam. During her study she did an internship at the RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History, and after graduating she worked for 6 years as project staff member for various departments. Since 1999 she has worked as assistant, and later as curator of the team Modern and Contemporary Art of the RKD.
Vákár cooperated on the publication of the art historian W. Jos de Gruyter memoires and was responsibe for the internet publication Natura Artis Magistra, artists in Artis in which the art collection of the Artis zoo and Artis art in Dutch Museums and public institutes were digitally indexed.
As well as being involved in modern sculptural art, in particular the period after 1945, she specialises in photographic portraits of artists and studio photographs. Since 2009 she has also set up various exhibitions, particularly in the field of sculptural art, Artis and portraits of artists.
In 1996 and 2009 Kriszti Vákár has also worked for the State Display Cabinet (Rijksprentenkabinet, Amsterdam).
