Loans
Are you organizing an exhibition in your museum, library or similar cultural institution? The RKD happily lends out collection items for this purpose. On this page, you can read how to request loans.
Loan conditions
We find it important to make our collection available to scholars and to the public. It is however not always possible to grant requests for loans. This might be because the requested object Is too vulnerable, or because the institution’s facilities do not meet the required conditions.

Making a loan request
Bear in mind that we need to receive the loan request at least three months before the exhibition’s opening date.
The loan request can be sent either by post or email. In order to consider your request we ask you to complete the following forms:

We can only consider loan requests which include both forms fully completed. By submitting a loan request the borrower agrees that they will meet all of our loan conditions.
