One author attributes ten etchings to him (Rifkin 1974, p. 86-101). In 1661-1663 he was as a midshipman (Adelborst') in the service of the Dutch East India Company (Bredius 1916). He owned drawings and engraving by Rembrandt (Bredius 1915).
