Country House Laskowo-Gluchy near Warsaw: The mansion was built by Michał Zdzieborski or his son in the fourth quarter of the 18th century. After Michał's son, the manor owned his daughter Ludwiki in 1804. In 1818, Ludwika married Jan Norwid, Topór coat of arms, and at that time the marriage moved to the court. In 1821, the future poet Cyprian Kamil Norwid comes to the court. In 1822 the manor house was expanded and transformed into its present form. After the death of his father, the estate passes to the eldest son of Ludwik. In later years, the estate changed owners many times. In 1912, the manor was purchased by the sculptor Bolesław Jeziorański - the creator of the bust of Adam Mickiewicz placed in the top of the porch. In 1966, the manor house was taken over by Beata Tyszkiewicz and Andrzej Wajda. (http://www.polskiezabytki.pl/m/obiekt/3459/Laskowo_-_Gluchy/)

  • Parijs 1855 - 1883-05-23
Norwid lived in extreme poverty and suffered from tuberculosis. His cousin, Michał Kleczkowski, later relocated Norwid to the St. Casimir's Institute nursing home on the outskirts of Paris. During the last months of his life, Norwid was weak and bed-ridden; he frequently wept and refused to speak with anyone. He died in the morning of 23 May 1883. (Wikipedia)
