In 1736 he bequeathed his library (2289 volumes), his print collection (10000 leaves) and some of his drawings collection (1000 sheets), as well as his collection of scientific instruments and manuscripts to the University of Göttingen, holding the usufruct until his death in 1769. His collection of about 250 paintings, sculptures and reliefs, printing presses, musical instruments and objects of natural history did not go to the University of Göttingen, A part of his collection of drawings, two volumes containing 232 drawings, were held back by his widow in 1769 . Although these were included in the catalog of the first auction of Uffenbach's estate in 1771, at that time they were not auctioned. Only after the death of the widow Uffenbach in 1775 the Amsterdam collector Johann Goll of Franckenstein bought these sheets, which have since disappeared without a trace (Unverfehrt /Büttner 2000).
