After the death of her husband in 1658 Debora continued the business of her husband and became one of the most notorious ship owners and exporters of iron and copper in Sweden. One of her business partners was Marescoe-Joyes in London, conducted by Leonora Marescoe. In 1672, due to health issues, she had to stop working and handed over the leadership of the business to her son-in law Hendrik Cletcher (Nilsson 2008).
