A 1706 dated cartoon drawing of a lecture hall is in Utrecht City Archive (inv. No. 38051) is signed 'Hier-s: Tonneman'. Furthermore, in the 'Beeld-snijders kunst-kabinet' dedicated to him by M. Pool in 1727, it is stated under one print (no. 100), that this is after a drawing by his hand (Jerôme Tonneman). (Plomp 2001). According to his 1754 auction catalogue, he owned five objects by the well-known sculptor Francis van Bossuit (Van der Hut 2014). According to Houbraken he owned many drawings by Cornelis Visscher and Gerard de Lairesse.
