They had issue: Maximiliane Maria (1723-?), Maria Antonia Walpurgis (1724-1780), Theresa Benedicta (1725-1743), Maximilian III Joseph, Elector of Bavaria (1727-1777), Joseph Ludwig Leo (1728-1733), Maria Anna Josepha (1734-1776), Maria Josepha (1739-1767). Karl Albrecht VII had a mistress Sophie Caroline von Igelheim, they had a son: Franz Ludwig (1723-1780).
