    master in the Guild of St. Luke, Antwerp, in 1506 (Rombouts/Van Lerius 1872/1961); in 1511 and 1512, Jasper de Vos and Heynken Francx successively joined as pupils in his studio; afterwards no more mention is made of Jacob van Utrecht as a painter in Antwerp (Grosshans 1982, p. 13).
  • Lamego 1506 - 1509
    worked in Lamego, Portugal, together with Arnáo de Carvalho on a retable for the main church of Lamego (Thieme/Becker)
  • Lübeck 1515 - 1530
    first documented in Lübeck in 1519; mentioned in 1523 as 'Master Jacob of Utrecht' in a Lübeck document; until 1530 several works have been preserved which probably indicate that Jacob van Utrecht had been working in Lübeck.
