Biographical information
According to himself he trained himself 'without a master'; however he received drawing lessons from Theodorus de Reuver (1762-1808). De Reuver was a painter of carriages and room interiors (behangsels). Wonder painted for De Reuver borders or frames around the scenes of the painted interiors. Moreover Wonder studied at the academy in Düsseldorf (see below), see Van der Meer Mohr 2015, p. 25
