Lugt no. 3611: "no. 324 Door Denselven [Ryn, Rembrand van]. Hoog 37 ½, breed 27 duim [=96,3 x 69,3 cm; gemeeten met de Amsterdamse voetmaat van Elf Duim in de Voet] Paneel. In een Binnenhuis hangt een geslagte Os aan den Balk, verder ziet men een Vrouwtje over de Deur Kyken; dit S[t]uk is verwonderlyk natuurlyk, zeer krachtig en Meesterlyk fix gepenseelt." Sold for 52 guilders to Nijman, according to an annotation in the sale catalogue [RKD, The Hague].
