The panel consists of two oak members with a horizontal join. Some minor wear to the paint surface, but otherwise it is in good condition. Wood grain shows through the paint in worn areas, particularly in the dark passages. It is presumed to have been cleaned and restored by Dr Hell in 1952–3 (Sophia Plender).
