Curriculum vitae and activities

Tomas Waals has been Application Manager in the Digital Information Management (DIM) department of the RKD – Netherlands Institute for Art History since October 2019. Waals looks after the various databases, and is responsible for updating them. In addition he builds simple software solutions so that various work processes can be automated.

DIM is responsible for the set-up and maintenance of all RKD digital products including Research, Studies, Iconclass, Art & Architecture Thesaurus (in Dutch) and The Rembrandt Database. The department also provides external technical support to the Rubenianum, the website fotografen.nl as well as the National Design Archive (NOA).
